The astrology of Saturn in Libra suggests that relationships will feel pressure to change for the better or break apart. Astrologers interpret astrology charts and the planetary cycles inherent in the changing sky.

 

As in life there are cycles in astrology. Astrologers look at the shifts in the planetary patterns to help understand what changes will occur for humanity. Saturn entering into Libra is one such cycle that impacts our relationships and love life.

Saturn enters Libra October 29th 2009 at 1:09PM Eastern time and will stay in Libra until April 6th 2010 when it dips back into Virgo, then re enters Libra July 7th 2010 and will stay in Libra until October 5th 2012. In essence we have three years that spirit is asking us to focus on and put energy towards peace, fairness, and a well balanced life.

The astrology chart for the moment that Saturn steps over the boundaries from Virgo and enters Libra is a relatively strong chart. Saturn will be able to accomplish its task in Libra, which is to create harmonious relationships, break up relationships that are no longer useful or positive for you. You will become acutely aware of any relationship which is unfair and seek to balance the scales of equality and have peace and harmony in your life.

The planet that has the least amount of strength, and therefore will be thwarted the most will be Mercury. Mercury is in Scorpio traveling next to the Sun. Our ideas will be deep and intuitive yet not be able to come to fruition. You may come up with several concepts of what to do that will help your life, career, relationships. Various ideas and ways to make your future dreams come true enter your mind however the timing could be off and you may need to table your brilliance until other circumstances allow you to act upon them.

Astrologers use a term called mutual reception when planets are in the signs that each other rules. This is happening with Mars (in Leo) and the Sun (in Scorpio). Saturn in Libra’s has a duty to reestablish harmony and balance in relationships and Mars has the force and the Sun provides the will to make it happen. These astrological symbols can indicate that your desire to have balance and harmony in your life is met with considerable opposition; that the will of another could be quite stubborn and have an agenda to keep the relationship the same.

Venus, the ruler of Libra, is also in Libra. This is emphasizing the Saturn in Libra purpose of establishing healthy partnerships and especially romantic relationships. It is common to hear more news of divorce as Saturn moves through Libra as it uncovers unhealthy patterns that have been ignored.

Happy July 4^th The USA Solar Return Chart

 

Each year when we celebrate a birthday in astrology we call that time the solar return. The solar return is when the sun returns to the same location it was the day you were born. A chart is cast for that moment and from that chart we can sneak a look at what is in store for the year ahead.

Astrologers read symbols in the charts and ascertain how that is applicable in an individuals life or in this case for the USA. In the solar return chart for 2009 there are several symbols that show the financial struggle in the economy but an overall protection of the people. This is seen by Jupiter, the planet of protection, connected to the Moon in the USA chart. The Moon is symbolic of the people, hence protection of the people. However there is also another planet with the Moon, Neptune and one of the interpretations involving Neptune is that which is being hid or deception. There is something going on behind in the government that is being kept from the public eye and awareness.

One of the strongest symbols is with Mercury, who represents youth and knowledge. Mercury is opposite Pluto. Pluto is the lord of the underworld and is the sign of death and rebirth. The rebirth in the country will come through the youth and new knowledge. The old way of thinking must die and the new ideas will take the place of the old to resurrect and reconstruct. Mercury/Pluto opposition is also connected to Venus in the USA chart. Pluto Venus demands change in values, this influence has been in effect since September 2008 when Pluto went direct in Capricorn. The Moon will be in Sagittarius on July 4th, opposite the natal Mars in the USA chart. Anger about or from foreign countries will be a theme. In addition there will be fighting over educational systems, who is right (about many topics) and arguments stemming from long held opinions and beliefs. Pluto in Capricorn for only a short time of its trek through the constellation Capricorn; this journey challenges institutions, governments, and established businesses that have not adapted to the current needs of humanity.

The greatest growth is coming from the expansion in the multi media technology arena. Although housing has taken a terrific beating the chart is indicating the recovery will be on its way. There is a preparation for new technological inventions that will further advance our modern world.

If I could put the message from the universe into one sentence what I would say is that it is time to find security within.

The summer solstice ushers in at 1:46AMEDT on the 21^st and the new moon is the next day at 3:35PM EDT. The vibe of the solstice last until the fall equinox and the new moon for 28 days.

The major difference between the new moon and solstice energy that will last for 3 months is that the vibe of needing to listen to the youth continues through the summer. Moon and Mercury in Gemini are in the solstice chart, listen to the youth of the world, what they have to say. And rekindle your ideals and beliefs from your youth. Learn something new, be adaptable, take care of your mind, listen to another way of thinking. With opening up to a new and fresh way of thinking and learning to hear what another says is very important. This chart is also signifying possible problems in air pollution. Keep the air around you fresh and pure.

Every year when the Moon catches up to the Sun in Cancer the Cancer new moon is born.

The theme of home, family, feelings and emotions will always be prominent every year, yet to understand the nuances for any particular new moon you must look at the chart of the new moon of the year in question.

This year Venus and Mars are together at the same degree; it is time to be in harmony in your love relationships. Put aside your differences enjoy what you can with each other. Do not push or demand, Taurus is about being: it is about how to sit and enjoy what is. Find strength in building your bond, simple pleasures of nature, eating, sensual delights, and appreciation of what appeals to your artistic senses.

The Moon is out of bounds, what that means is emotions will be over the top, in addition the Sun and Moon are opposite Pluto and in hard aspect with Venus, Mars, and Uranus. Wowzer! It may be time to be in harmony with our partners but can we be? A few curve balls may be thrown your way, duck! Stay focused and let go of unwanted emotions. If you don’t know how to do that I recommend getting a meditation tape or going to a center you are drawn to that teaches how to center and be at one with the universe. There are so many ways and you must find what is best for you. You might want to try being in nature next to water to bring stillness and peace within, as Cancer is a water sign.  

 

The lesson of Cancer is to know when to let go? What do you hang onto that is no longer good for you, you no longer need? What habits do you have that are left over from family and childhood that are no longer help you or are not a reflection of who you are or who you want to be?

Cancer can be very generous, protective, and nurturing. Yet many times there is a fear that there will not be enough and one needs to protect what you have, keep it in the clan so to speak. Where do you hold onto things just in case you might need it? That old can of paint, you don’t really like the color anymore, but what if you might find something use for it later. Trust that if you need something in your future you will have the money to buy exactly what you want at that time. The hanging on of Cancer can hold you back from evolving. Even in superficial aspects of life, such as the clothes you wear, does your wardrobe reflect you now? Or do you have clothes that you just can’t throw or give away even though they don’t look great on you anymore? How about the old food and spices in your cupboard? Hanging onto material parts is the reflection of letting go of the parts of our being that want to be transformed.

If you see struggle in your outer world look within and heal the struggle from within.

 

Remember the energy for the monthly manifestations need to be imprinted in the first 2 ½ days, yet the whole cycle of cancer new moon is the imprinting for changes you want between now and next year. But this year we have 2 cancer new moons!! How does this happen? Well the first one is at 1 degree cancer and the second 29 degree cancer; remember the new moons are approximately 28 days apart. So this is a VERY important vibration that spirit is asking us to get. We have it twice. And the next new moon is an eclipse so please take a few minutes, meditate, tune into the message being sent, center your being so you will help shift the planet into higher consciousness.

How to use the energy of this new moon

1.)     Accept family for who they are not who you wish they could be.

2.)     Uproot negative patterns from childhood and early conditioning that have or are holding you back.

3.)     Do something nice for your home; create a comfortable and safe space that you love.

4.)     Nurture your body with healthy food. Purchase a water purifier system for clean water

5.)     Get in touch with how you feel, then move feelings to higher vibration Heal the emotional body; if needed go to an energy.

6.)     Contribute to uplifting the world; devote some time and energy towards a cause that speaks to your heart.

7.)     Connect with or find where you feel you belong, where is your tribe?

8.)     Acknowledge where you feel situations are outside of your control, and then figure out what you can learn from those experiences.

9.)     Identify what you are resisting, can you let it go?  worker.

10.) Bring the water element into your life; a fountain, long baths, or a trip to the lake or ocean

 

Understand what the universe is asking of you. When you work with the energy of the universe you will shift your life from struggle to freedom. The further we are from our path the more pain we experience. Listen to your higher self and stay true to your path.

Full moons are markers in our lives. We can not see the new moon, for it is a time of darkness and we must trust that what we do is right and good. Full Moons however we can look up on the cloudless evening and see. The first full Moon after the spring equinox is the perfect time to begin to use the Full Moons as markers in your life.

 

What is the world reflecting back to you? Where are you at this point in your life? Who are you with? What are you doing? How healthy are you? What do you need to change?

 

With the energy between the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra the universe ask us to balance between self and others. This full moon is requesting that we find the correct balance between what we need to do to express our lives and how much we need to compromise.

 

Venus is still retrograde, reassessing relationships and a grinding demand to let go of past identity and reformulate a truer and more spiritual essence of our being.
